Hon. António Francisco de Assis is the Angolan Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries from 2022.Hon. Antonio previously held the position of  Minister of Agriculture and Forestry in 2019-2020.He is a graduate of Agricultural Sciences in the specialty of Vegetable Production by the Higher Institute of Agricultural Sciences in Havana, Cuba.He has extensive experience as a consultant and director in various institutions. such as:Consultant to the Minister of Economy and Planning National Institute of Support for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (INAPEM)Member of the Technical Group for Economic and Social Issues of the Secretariat of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of AngolaDirector of the Refrigerated Warehouse at FRESCANGOL-UEEDirector-General of the Centro Açucareira “OSUKA-UEE”, which supervised the Catumbela and Dombe Grande Sugar MillsHead of the Department of Agronomy at Açucareira 1° de Maio de Catumbela/Benguela
